Situation

Luchon is a spa town and tourist resort, in the central Pyrenees, close to the Spanish frontier, in the southern part of the Haute-Garonne department, 140 km from Toulouse.

Ideally situated at the foot of summits rising to 3,000 meters, it is the destination par excellence for those who want to energize their batteries in the great outdoors or enjoy outdoor activities: sign-posted hiking trails, treks, climbing, paragliding, mountainbike, swimming-pool, tennis, golf, rafting, canoe-kayak, etc..

It is also a quiet holiday location to take care of your health: rheumatology and ORL cure, balneotherapy, etc..

Luchon provides an ideal starting point for discovering a rich local heritage, such as the picturesque villages from the Pyrenees, their Romanesque churches of the XI and XII centuries, prehistorical caves, Roman remains, etc..

In the winter, the cable cars provides direct and easy access in 8 mn to the Superbagnères ski area (1,440-2,260 meters) from Luchon. This area has 125 ha with 28 tracks, 15 ski lifts, 160 snow guns.

After skiing, Luchon offers all the charm of a relaxation and leisure village: balneotherapy, restaurants, night club, movie theatre, shopping, etc..
